So you mean a two stage boot where U-Boot boots GRUB2? The alternative is for U-Boot to provide the required OpenFirmware support - is it clear what sort of things OpenSolaris needs from OpenFirmware? Is OpenFirmware really Open as the name suggests? (are there any patent problems etc?) It might be easier for me to just port what I need from GRUB2 over to U-Boot, since I know U-Boot pretty well. Any thoughts? Cheers!
