Just a quick question and something to think about: Why was the abreviation "PPC" chosen to represent the architecture, instead of "power"? Isn't the PowerPC chip just a smaller implementation of the Power arch? I'd think that calling it power, instead of PPC would at least allude to the fact that it could probably be coaxed into running on big IBM hardware too, someday.
At least in the Inferno world, (www.vitanuova.com/inferno) we call it power, though that doesn't mean that it's ever run on an anything but a PowerPC chip... Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "change it now"... the decision has already been made, and it's time to stick with it. Just wondering what the reasoning was...
