I am sure it is possible, but I have not done it. I know it would take a non-trivial amount of work, because some of the GCC tool chain has patches. I have never built everything completely from scratch, purely from sources, without relying on some x86 binaries, supplied by someone else, with the PPC patches already applied. Also, there may be some issues with steps involving native builds of sgs commands, which are then used to build other things. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
