I run a pretty old version, powersave-0.9.25-3, on suse 9.3, on a
non-laptop station, for hibernation. Where can I get a changeLog?
(showing fixes/new functions in recent releases)
I had to get rid of the scsi disk/card (was an extra disk, I run 3ware
sata raid for main storage): failed on trying to unload the scsi
module:
Apr 6 10:02:19 (none) [powersave-prepare_suspend_to_disk][17756]:
ERROR: suspend2disk failed on unloading 'aic7xxx'. Trying to recover...
is there a way, like recompiling the kernel with this module included,
to avoid this?
I have an extra ide disk too, I seldom use, and I turn it off thru:
hdparm -S 1 /dev/hda
(not off btw, but wont spin, wont noise, wont heat).
problem is: I have to run the command at every wake up from
hibernation.
Many tools offer "hooks": scripts called before and/or after invoking
the main function. Do recent versions offer this? setting hdparm could
be done in such a hook.
Sorry if my questions are naive, thanks for any help.
