That commandline should work. Can you post more info? For example, run with logging at DEBUG level and post the log. Also... why do you think it isn't working? Why do you think POX isn't handling it? In general, please see the last section of the FAQ in the manual, and post as much information as you can.
Also, have you tried other forwarding components (e.g., l2_learning or l2_pairs)?
