Di situs web IMF ini tertulis posisi Boediono di lembaga
keuangan dunia ini adalah sebagai salah satu “governor” (gubernur) pada Board
of Governors (Dewan Gubernur) IMF. Sedangkan governor alternate untuk Indonesia
adalah Rahmat Waluyanto. Dewan Gubernur IMF berfungsi untuk menentukan
kebijakan IMF. Lebih lanjut lagi, governor dan governor alternate dari
tiap-tiap negara inilah yang menjalankan kebijakan-kebijakan IMF di tiap-tiap
negara yang menjadi “sasaran kebijakan” IMF. Berikut adalah pengertian daripada

sendiri yang terakhir di-update pada tanggal 21 Mei 2009 atau sekitar 6 hari
setelah deklarasi SBY-Boediono di Bandung.
Wewenang dewan gubernur :
The Board of Governors, the highest decision-making body of the IMF, consists
of one governor and one alternate governor for each member country. The
governor is appointed by the member country and is usually the minister of
finance or the governor of the central bank. All powers of the IMF are vested
in the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors may delegate to the Executive
Board all except certain reserved powers. The Board of Governors normally meets
once a year.
