India mendapat kontrak untuk menilai ujian GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) khusus untuk mata ujian sejarah, bahasa Perancis, bahasa Jerman dan bahasa Italia. Sebanyak 500,000 kertas ujian dalam bentuk digital akan dikirim ke India. GCSE, dulunya dikenal sebagai ujian O-level, adalah ujian akhir SMA.
Untuk diterima di colleges dan universities (yang baik), seorang calon mahasiswa harus lulus dulu IB (International Baccalaureat), dulu disebut ujian A-level. Di IB ada 5 stream (jurusan). Ujian IB berupa essay, dan materinya adalah materi college. Misalnya, untuk fisika ada fisika quantum, matematika ada calculus, untuk ekonomi soalnya diambil dari 2 textbooks college (salah satunya Samuelson). Anak yang lulus IB prosentasenya, tetapi dijamin dapat diterima di sekolah tinggi paling ternama didunia. AQA, one of UK's three main examination boards reached the contract with a private party in India, sources said. After the finals this summer, there will be around five lakh papers to be marked, the sources said adding, papers are put into digital form and e-mailed to India to be marked and then sent back to London. The reasoning is the same as in cases of outsourcing of other services like directory inquiries, phone banking, medical records and legal documents. Examiners' salaries are five times cheaper in India than in Britain, they said. The general secretary of the Secondary Heads Association has described the sending of papers to India as "a desperate act to hold a sinking system."
