Dengan pendapatan Rp 34 trilyun per tahun, para TKI tsb bisa memberikan Rp 100 ribu per bulan ke 28 juta lebih penduduk Indonesia. Jauh lebih banyak ketimbang dana pemerintah yang hanya meliputi 15,5 juta penduduk (kalau tidak dikorup:)
Oleh karena itu saya menentang usaha untuk menghentikan pengiriman TKI ke Luar Negeri. Apalagi jika di dalam negeri tidak ada lowongan kerja yang cukup atau peluang usaha sangat sulit. Meski demikian, pemerintah/lsm harus memberikan perlindungan bagi para TKI baik di bandara, mau pun di luar negeri.
