JAKARTA - Malaysian terror leader Azahari was believed to have been killed in a police raid on a suspected terror hide-out in Malang, a small town south of Indonesia's second largest city of Surabaya. Indonesian police exchanged gunfire with "suspected terrorists" at a villa in the East Java hill resort town Batu after two blasts were heard from the building, reports said. The official Antara news agency said police had encircled the villa before the exchange of shots but gave no further details. In a later report, Antara said the exchange of fire involved police and a group of men. There was no mention of terrorists. The Metro private television station said one policeman was rushed to hospital from the site of the clash with a leg wound and added that the raid involved anti-terrorist units of the national and East Java provincial police. Police spokesmen in Jakarta and Surabaya, the capital of East Java, could not immediately be reached for comments. Police in Batu city declined comment. ElShinta radio said two blasts were heard at the house between 0800 GMT and 0900 GMT but journalists could not approach the house as police had cordoned off the area.
