Samsung Electronics completes second memory line in U.S.** SEOUL, June 15 (Yonhap) -- *South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. said Friday it has completed its second memory production line in the United States. The production line located in Austin, Texas, will go into operation during the second half of this year, churning out 16-gigabit flash memory chips that are used in such personal devices as digital music players and mobile phones, the company said in a regulatory filing. Samsung Electronics said it will invest US$3.5 billion on the flash memory plant by the end of 2008. However, it declined to disclose the facility's annual production capacity.
