Hong Kong welcomes active presence of Iranian firms in region

A senior economic official of Hong Kong on Saturday welcomed further active
presence of Iranian companies in the region.
Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region Frederick Ma and Iran's Consul General in Hong Kong
Abdollah Nekonaam discussed promotion of bilateral economic cooperation.
Ma said exchange visits of economic delegations between Iran and Hong Kong
would help further familiarity with economic potentials of the two sides.
He stressed the need for promotion of bilateral cooperation in the fields of
tourism and making joint investments.
The Iranian side, for his part, briefed Ma on Iran's high economic potentials.
Nekonaam voiced Iran's readiness for further economic cooperation with Hong
Kong referring to the latter as a major economic hub and a gate to
international trade for China.
