[PPower4] PDF image in pdflatex

Hi,

I exported an image as PDF from xfig. It looks fine when I open it in
acroread. But when I include it in a LaTeX document and run pdflatex,
the image in the output PDF file is totally screwed. The image is
distorted, speckled and all pixel-ated.

Any help would be appreciated.
