lgarstwa o polskim udziale w mordowaniu Zydow w czasie II Wojny
Swiatowej.
List ten Piotr otrzymal od swego kolegi z Belgii z prosba o masowe

Open letter Ref: Statement in the book "The 20th Century World"
regarding the Polish nation involvement in mass murder of the
Jews
Dear Mr Minister,
With a great astonishment and profound shock have we learned about
a statement in the above mentioned book used in the UK schools for
education purposes. A statement, which not only suggests but also
declares that supposedly the Polish nation was actively involved
in the extermination of Jews:
"There were many other nations who helped Hitler in mass murder of the Jewish
people,
such as Poles"
For the Polish people (and it should be for the British nation)
such a statement is a horror and reveals a fundamental lack of
understanding of the recent European history. A book, which is
supposed to educate young generation in truth and factual
history, distorts the elementary fact at a high cost of the
Polish nation.
The book "The 20th Century World" published by Stanley Thornes
Ltd, becomes a shame to those who have passed it to the public.
This book is highly harmful to the Polish people who were
themselves victims of the German nazi terror, but also reveals
to us and to you that the sources that you let to the public for
the education purposes may be unreliable and unaccountable.
Thus it is harmful to you as well.
We ask you, therefore, to rectify the scandalous statement and
apologise to the Polish people for it. Such things are not
allowed to happen.
We believe that in future such abuse will have place no more.

Z wielkim zdziwieniem i glebokim poruszeniem dowiedzielismy sie�
o wypowiedzi w wyzej wymienionej ksiazce, uzywanej w Wielkiej
Brytanii w dziedzine edukacji.
"Bylo duzo innych narodow, ktore pomagaly Hitlerowi w masowych
mordach �Zydow, takie jak Polacy"
Dla narodu polskiego ( a rowniez�dla narodu Brytyjskiego) taka
wypowiedz to horror ukazujacy fundamentalny brak zrozumienia
niedawnej historii Europy. Ksiazka, ktora powinna miec na celu
wychowywanie mlodego pokolenia w prawdzie i faktycznej historii,
wypacza podstawowe fakty wielkim kosztem polskiego narodu.
Ksiazka "The 20th Century World" opublikowana przez Stanley
Thornes Ltd, staje sie wstydem dla wszystkich, ktorzy oddali
ja�w rece spoleczenstwa.
Ksiazka ta jest bardzo szkodliwa dla Polakow, ktorzy sami byli
ofiarami terroru niemieckich nazistow, ale rowniez ujawnia wam
i nam, ze zrodla jakie dajecie w rece spoleczenstwa moga byc�
niewiarygodne i nieobliczalne. Jest to ze szkoda dla was samych.
Prosimy zatem o sprostowanie tego skandalicznego stwierdzenia
i przeprosiny Polakow.
Tego typu rzeczy nie maja prawa istnienia. Wierzymy, ze takie
nadu�ycia nie beda juz mialy miejsca.
