Sat Mar 24,2001 -- Following hours of exchanges of
gunfire between IDF and
terrorist forces in Gaza on Wednesday afternoon
and evening, fighting
continued throughout the night. Terrorist forces
used anti-tank grenades and
machineguns to attack IDF positions protecting
Jewish communities in Gush
Katif. Senior military commanders report that
sporadic gunfire continued
throughout the day on Thursday and the region is
in a state of war. There
were no injuries to Israeli forces or Jewish
residents of the area.
