The prime95.exe program needs a restart whenever changes is made to the prime.ini, as the parameters here are only read at startup.
To George: We could use some more often reading of this file. Could be nice when the computer can't be restarted but you have access to the disk. For instance through VPN. Here is a whole file (password scrambled): ================================================prime.ini============================================ UseHTTP=1 OldUserID= OldUserPWD= UserPWD=GknyZ UserName=Torben Schlntz [EMAIL PROTECTED] Newsletters=1 UserID=tsc AskedAboutMemory=1 UsePrimenet=1 DialUp=0 DaysOfWork=20 WorkPreference=2 OutputIterations=10000 ResultsFileIterations=50000 DiskWriteTime=10 NetworkRetryTime=300 NetworkRetryTime2=300 DaysBetweenCheckins=1 TwoBackupFiles=1 SilentVictory=1 Windows95Service=0 Left=40 Top=46 Right=587 Bottom=286 Advanced=1 ErrorCheck=0 ManualComm=0 Priority=1 HideIcon=1 TrayIcon=0 OnlyRunStage2WithMaxMemory=1 time=1-6/00:01-07:00 throttle=0 time=1-6/17:00-23:59 throttle=3 time=6/7:00-17:00 throttle=3 time=7/00:01-17:00 throttle=3 time=7/17:00-23:59 throttle=50 ======================================eof========================================= This one is slightly different from the other example: it sleeps during working hours, and does little during sunday night.
