Yes, they stated they will. It will greatly simplify the work needed to write a VMWare style x86 package, so they are not too happy with it. Iit will mean more competitors for them.
I really don't see much use for this on the desktop platform, except perhaps for software developers who want to run a debug environment hosted on the same computer as they develop on.
Have you ever tried to convince people to install a dual boot configuration and to reboot their machine everytime they want to run a program using the other OS? This feature is another nail in the coffin of the ultimate devilish IT company.
