Recently comparing a AMD Athlon64 4000+ (2.4Ghz) to a
Intel P4 830D (3.0Ghz), I was intrigued by a finding.

I knew P4s could do LL tests faster than an Athlon
with the SSE2 code. I also knew Athlons were faster
than P4s with factoring up to 2^65. It was my
understanding that with the SSE2 factoring, the P4s
were faster over 2^65 though.

I was therefore not surprised to see the P4 do better
than the Athlon for the LL tests. But was a little
surprised to see the Athlon show considerably faster
times over every bit-depth of factoring, with the
higher the bit-depth the more the Athlon blew the P4
away.

It made me curious. Does anybody know which would be
faster for P-1 and ECM testing?

And maybe as a suggestion, have these timings added to
the benchmarks Prime95 generates?
