Never mind, I found it in the archives, at least Brian's projection: http://hogranch.com/pipermail/prime/2005-April/000635.html I'm having odd stability problems, but I don't think that's related to the processor being dual-core. I'll get back to it later if it turns out to be a persistent problem; it looks very much like RAM corruption (mprime reporting too much roundoff during testing, gcc randomly segfaulting, the kernel complaining about bad state in the VM, etc.), but memtest86+ can't seem to find a thing (at least not in runs of a single hour). I'm trying a kernel upgrade now (2.6.11 -> 2.6.12; I couldn't find AMD64-compiled 2.6.13 packages for Debian just yet, and my attempts at compiling my own were sort of useless with a machine that was segfaulting all the time) to see if it might have fixed something critical... /* Steinar */ -- Homepage: http://www.sesse.net/ _______________________________________________ Prime mailing list [email protected] http://hogranch.com/mailman/listinfo/prime
