Hi Ken,
GREAT! There is another way to test this in a more useful way. if your printer is network capable, plug that in your router. turn on network discovery, svcadm enable svc:/network/device-discovery/printers:snmp The same add queue dialog should pop up see if the print queue set up work for you? NOTE: It is not advisable to turn on this network printer discovery in a network with lots of printers, as you you will be really annoyed by the number of popup dialog. Also this feature only works from snv77 and upwards. -Ghee Ken Mays wrote: > SXCE b78 x86-64 > Autodetected HP Officejet Pro L7580 correctly through USB connection. > Tested printing with StarOffice 8u6 (i.e. Writer) and GNOME. > > Might be some other things I need to review, but for now I can say that > printer works for me. > > ~ Ken > > > This message posted from opensolaris.org > _______________________________________________ > printing-discuss mailing list > printing-discuss at opensolaris.org >
