GREAT! There is another way to test this in a more useful way.
if your printer is network capable, plug that in your router.
turn on network discovery,
svcadm enable svc:/network/device-discovery/printers:snmp

The same add queue dialog should pop up see if the print queue set up
work for you?

NOTE: It is not advisable to turn on this network printer discovery in
a network with lots of printers, as you you will be really annoyed by
the number of popup dialog.

Also this feature only works from snv77 and upwards.
