Under 2008.11 I created a printer in the Print Manager. The printer is a HP LJ 4M Plus with a Jetdirect card. I used a socket printer to port 9100.
When I print a test page, all I get is funky junk. What format is the test page in, and why didn't it get converted to PCL or PS? Also, how do I print to it from the command line? Neither LP nor LPQ could see the queue created from the Print Manager. I even tried creating the queue from the command line, ie lpadmin -p hp01 -v /dev/null -m netstandard -o dest=hp01:raw -o protocol=lpd and lpstat -p -l still did not find any queues. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
