There are OSS drivers for Solaris, but they are not included with Solaris Express. Solaris includes it's own set of audio drivers: for Ensoniq audio chipset, Intel i810 audio and compatible, ATI chipset audio, Intel HD-audio chipset and compatible, ... If your audio hardware is not supported by the drivers included with Solaris, you have to download and install third party drivers, e.g. the OSS drivers. This message posted from opensolaris.org
