How did you set up your print q, was it using /usr/sbin/printmgr? What does command-line "lpstat -l -p <your-printq>" show ? If you used 'printmgr' to set it up I guess you are using the 'Printer driver' "Foomatic/hl1250(recommended)" [PPD]; have you tried using the "Foomatic/hpijs" driver instead?
