Hi Alexandre. We process text (in bulk), mostly news but from other sources also, and we extract meaning from it. The more sophisticated this becomes, the greater our need to pull each sentence apart and see how it really ticks. “Parts of speech“ is an important stepping stone; “computational linguistics” is the broader study.
