    thanks, makes sense.  just a note: i have done a world update since
then (i.e. emerge --update --deep --newuse -a world; emerge --depclean;
revdep-rebuild) and had no problems.

    there is a bug report already for the pro-audio overlay
http://proaudio.tuxfamily.org/bugs/view.php?id=58 not sure if i can add
much to the report, besides the note i just did.  hope that helps.
