These instructions are somewhat obsolete. The up to date layman command
can be seen at http://repo.or.cz/w/ladi-overlay.git and currently is:

layman -o http://ladish.org/files/overlays.xml -f -a ladi

Also, ladi overlay provides virtual/liblash/liblash-0 that has

RDEPEND="|| ( media-sound/lash
        media-sound/ladish[lash] )"

However, for this to work, ebuilds of apps that depend on liblash should
depend on virtual/liblash. There are some updated ebuilds for such apps
(dino, azr3-jack) in the ladi overlay.
