Hey Ginny. My name is Kevin Reeves. I've been using Pro Tools for the past 4 or 5 years, but unfortunately under O S 9. Currently, P T is not accessible with Vo. Those of us who are Pro Tools users are stuck on OS 9, which causes us to have to stick to outdated computers and hardware. Dialogue has been opened with some folks who handle product management for the pro tools line, and they are aware of our plight. They have acknowledged our need and said that they would see about including accessibility in a later version. Thanks to Slau's tireless work with going to meet Digidesign several times, as well as the patition that was submitted earlier this year. Not sure what the outcome is, so we're all in a holding pattern on the pt frunt. Slau has also quckly checked out logic, which is comparable to PT on the Mac side, and has noticed that many controls are now visible in the main window, where before it was fully unreadable by Vo. If this proves to be a viable option, it may be the route I go because Logic is highly respected by recording engineers and studio owners, and should suit all my needs just fine. On the PC side of things, Sonar paired with Cake Talking is still the way to go. Since this is not a PC list, I won't focus much on this, only enough to say that Sonar is gaining popularity among professionals and is definately a viable option.
