Cant help but get my 2p's worth in here... There is nothing like a trip rattling in the back of my old Volvo past the communal tip to make my 1290 behave! Tongue in cheek, but might work. And it was actually Thomas Holm with his seemingly endless wisdom, who said some time ago that turn off the printer and PULL OFF the power lead too... which I still do if my 1290 has ideas above his station or comes up with silly error messages about not having connections.
