My name is Ben Rice, I have been a professional corporate and
advertising photographer in London for 20 years. I bought my first proper
Mac and Photoshop on September 12 last year, mainly so as I would have
something to do when all the work dried up. Fortunately or perhaps
unfortunately, paid work has continued so my Photoshop Skills are still
very limited. I shoot mainly on film but in February I bought a d60 and have
to date, completed 5 commissions with it. On the strength of this experience
I have an Eos 1ds on order.
Disgracefully I have to admit to lurking here for eight months, in which
time I have employed the professional services of fellow listees Philip
Chudy, Neil Barstow, Rod Wynne-Powell and Thomas Holm.
At some time in the future, when I have grasped a greater working
understanding of of the digital arts, I hope to be able to contribute on
these pages in an attempt to repay all of you who have been so generous with
your time in trying to educate beginners like me.
