Dear Francis
Can you also afford the new glasses that would allow you to actually see the image on the screen?
I think it's just total overkill - and an Apple Cinema Display would do me fine :-)
Seriously - why?
I will answer by posing this question: When you saw the prints out of an Epson Photo I bet you were impressed, when you saw what the next generation of printers could produce were you not also impressed by the increase in sharpness and clarity, and now we have even better ink jets and are you saying not for me? This runs through all the technologies involved in digital imaging as I see it.....onwards and upwards!
Now I have not seen one of these displays but others who have I understand been mightily impressed. Why would I want one? Easy. The more photographic like the image displayed on the monitor, the easier and better my decisions, and presumably the more comfortable the viewing....and I spend a lot of time looking at monitors so that's got to be good.
I am a little concerned that the screen runs at 500 Kelvin not 6500, surprised that the gamma is 1.8 but what do I know about LCD screens!
At the price they are I would want a really good guarantee <G> I would also want to be convinced that an LCD screen is the way to go. Has anyone here had a chance to compare this screen with an Apple Cinema Display?
Cheers
Richard
