Paul I,likewise,took delivery of my 1Ds today. Even though you have RAW,or RAW+JPEG, set in the principal menu you still have to choose RAW from the second smaller menu below the main one on the back of the camera. So far I've shot about 150 test images of subjects ranging from enviromental portraits using flash to scenics and outdoor macro work. Very impressive so far. This p.m. I'll test it using problematic fabric and feathers to see if moire will be an issue.
