because of a few years experience making remote profiles ;-}

they can be, especially with a printer like the 1290 where Epson
<updated> the inks twice - clients were buying printers which had been
in stock and thus had <old> inks in the box.
It's a precaution worth taking IMHO.
As Larry wrote, his 2100 seemed to subtly change when new inks were
loaded.
