> I was interested in the S2 > and D100 because I understood I could continue to use my old AF Nikkor > lenses but I hear that they're really not 100% perfect. I can and do use an old non-AF shift lens on the S1 no metering but then digital test shots are very quick compared to 90 seconds for a Polaroid! I think the big difference with the Nikon AF v. the AF-D is the TTL flash automation. On the S2 that actually works well, at least with a Metz 45CL1 and SCA346/2AF adaptor and AFD type lenses. I had very little joy with TTL flash on the S1. > Also, if I could invest in the next level of camera up, which is better > - the Fuji S1, the Canon 1D, or the Nikon D1X...? Forget the S1 unless you are on a really tight budget - the best trade in I have been offered for my S1 body is 550.00! At that price it would be too good a bargain for me to sell it! > Apologies for being so indecisive!
