Dear Jay In my typical situation I am shooting up at buildings. Using skew I pull in the bottom and push out the top in equal amounts. I keep the little square thingy on the middle of the edge of the canvas. As mentioned before I add canvas so I can extend the height.
There is of course no truly correct proportion, the top of the building is still further away and should look smaller so the window heights get less even if the width is made the same. I don't find that the perspective transform anywhere as useful as skew. I also take great trouble to only make one step to avoid multiple interpolations.
