In my typical situation I am shooting up at buildings. Using skew I pull in 
the bottom and push out the top in equal amounts. I keep the little square 
thingy on the  middle of the edge of the canvas. As mentioned before I add 
canvas so I can extend the height. 

There is of course no truly correct proportion, the top of the building is 
still further away and should look smaller so the window heights get less 
even if the width is made the same.  

I don't find that the perspective transform anywhere as useful as skew. I 
also take great trouble to only make one step to avoid multiple 
interpolations.
