The power supply on my S1 failed during a shoot, I had the client with
me and having walked miles along the North Downs Way to get to the
locations I was not carrying a back up camera... Very embarrassing and
cost me a day because I had to return to finish the job. To add to that
the camera was just out of warrantee. On the plus side Fuji turned it
round same day - try getting Nikon to do that! 

Anthony if I were you I would speak to Fuji again (Colin Riccardo of
Fuji is always very helpful and will know who you need to speak to on
the technical / service side).
