I beg to differ if I may, low-res (aka lo-fi) in the right hands will make for exceptional pictures, depending upon the subject matter and what the client needs. Same as high-res, only different. Perhaps what Niko was saying is that he has yet to see a digital practicing photographer coming up with really something special and way above what he is accustomed to with film - which in the right hands coincidentally, will produce equally exceptional - but different pictures.
