I've noticed this happening with the Flextight I use too. CCD's seem a
pretty bad idea then ? Geez. Nice to find all this out now, eh ?

Anyway, so if I shoot digital I have to expect horrible banding around the
faces of all the people I shoot against a white (or light backdrop). This is
a ridiculous situation, and completely undermines my confidence in shooting
digital  : The holy grail is not so holy (like the User interface on Mac OSX
- more like an "inyourface" rather than an "interface". But that's another
story....).

Getting more despondent with digital by the minute...

I guess I'll have to return my Nikon D100 to be repaired now..which no doubt
will take weeks and weeks to do - and in the meantime what do I do - buy a
spare digital camera Sir ! Well fancy that. What a suprise....
