Thanks to Nick W-B and Paul Tansley for responding to my query regarding RAW
file conversions. Following Nick's links below I found this comparison:

which I think looks pretty conclusive... Adobe Raw would seem to beat
Canon's FVU in terms of useability and speed, but my money would be on
Capture One for quality.

BTW as I neglected to introduce myself on the previous post, and in
observance of list etiquette... I am a London based design & advertising
snapper of some 12 years... with a little digital knowhow, but feeling
humble in present company!
