I'd agree with Jason that it's definitely worth profiling the Pictro. ;-}

you're right, it doesn't, but perhaps you have an <unprintable> red. Careful
softproofing during image manipulation often helps avoid this happening. 
Of course very saturated film can mean that you don't need to push saturation to
find problem colours.

Sometimes one can create an image which looks delicious on screen but find that
it's appearance or style is based upon unprintable colours [often unprintable in
any media]. It's not a great way to get repeat bookings and a very good reason
to have some idea of final repro destination.

I usually teach clients to softproof a copy & try adjusting with selective
colour tools.
