Had a swift play with one yesterday and will be shooting with it again this weekend.
Initial files suggest that it is very sharp and has good smooth capture of tones across a wide range in both direct light and shadow. There were some problems of noise in deep shadow areas which I want to look at further but my initial impression was not unfavourable. Having seen seen a report which was posted via URL link which showed some very soft looking images I am delighted to report that the camera I used was distinctly sharp and just fantastic to put the "wide" back into my 20mm lens. Half the size of Kodak 760 and actually feels like a camera rather than a brick! Great viewing screen which one can actually see in bright light. So don't write it off quite yet. Will post more thoughts next week.
