iOne Photo's very easy to use
[Ellie comments about the lack of a manual with profilemaker pro, there
is one on PDF if you can get it, but it's still very difficult to
learn, iOne Photo is built to get around this and make basic profiles
easily.]

Statements as to accuracy can be found at Gretags site I think, I find
it's very repeatable with a steady hand. Seems it's the basically same
head mechanism as the very high end Spectrolino.

you slide it along a special ruler, much more intuitive than it
sounds, I still use mine on site sometimes [easy to carry]

no way
but the iOne device CAN sample individual patches with the free iOne
share.

There are some excellent demo movies on the Gretag site about how it
all works.

that's a good description
misses some features as you'd expect.

I'd say anyone who wants nice screen calibration and the ability to
make good printer profiles [and learn a lot about colour management]
would find iOne Photo well worthwhile. Perhaps, for the ultimate
profile - or for a difficult paper, it might be worth reading
testcharts with the iOne and sending the files to a Profilemaker Pro
owner for that last bit of superior processing. If you sent datafiles
to me I'd make a cut price profile since reading the charts takes me an
age.

Best of both worlds?
