Try image slicing for your web pages. Although not perfect it will make life difficult for those wanting to use images to which they have no rights.

Hello to all. Actually, the various schemes involving Javascript are only useful for preventing really unsophisticated visitors from filching your image files. All a reasonably computer-literate individual has to do to defeat this "protection" is to turn off Javascript in his browser: poof - goodbye save-out disabling. but they can easily just use a print screen command to capture the > client window and then crop what they want. Also true. Actionscript (Flash programming) can be written to lock out images completely in the downloaded SWF files stored in a visitor's cache. However, even this is pretty futile if the thief knows how to crack a SWF file - not the most widely known technique, but possible nonetheless. But since screen capture is (AFAIK) pretty much invulnerable to any programming "countermeasures," the only way to keep images from theft is not to post them in a public Web space.
