I tested one (on a contax 645) and decided that Canon 1Ds was.... better colour, smoother gradation, higher ISOs, nicer to handle, faster lenses, full frame, and once you chopped the sides off the Kodak's square shot - the same resolution. Cheaper too. THis is not to say the Kodak is bad, it was OK but felt like an intermediate technology whereas the Canon is a matured and coherent product, not a bolt on.
