For those stubborn blobs try Sensor Swabs + eclipse optic cleaning fluid, I get mine from Crown Photo Systems www.crownphoto.co.uk , tel: 01264 335334. I think it is about 60-70 GBP for both, not cheap but you get 12 swabs + the fluid will last forever. They make them for all different size sensors so specify D100. Follow the instructions carefully ie. only clean with one wipe then throw the swab away (or give the mirror a quick clean too). I've used them for a couple of years on various cameras (inc Nikon) and haven't had any problems.
