This is only subjective, but I thought there was an improvement from the previous time I had my hands on one. Startup time was good, the menus seemed very quick and responsive there was little evidence of noise. Tha again, the clinical material is generally shot at ISO 100 and brought through the newest Photo Desk (3.1) so I would have been fairly horrified if I had been able to see noise!
It would be interesting to hear from someone who's been using one for a while now.
