I have been using ACDSee to oganize my files which were scanned from negatives which were my masters. I'm switching to digital and recently burned a cd of raw NEF files. ACDSee will allow me to browse the files but will not recognize and index the cd. Has anyone experienced this or could anyone offer a solution.
Thanks for listening,
Jim

Of course the upside to using CDs is that you are not 'putting all your eggs
in one basket'.

Personally I burn 2 master CDs, one of which I never access unless I have to
use it to create a new master, if the first has failed.

I'd consider a HDD as an archive in a RAID system but still prefer to use
CD.

Karl.
