Hi folks, Here in Beijing, China, I recently went after what for me was just the work I wanted. Around 2 or 3 weeks work every quarter creating, designing and editing a glossy colour magazine aimed at ex-pats for a newish joint run Australian/Chinese medical hospital. After an afternoon talking it through with them, they had virtually given me the job. Then they asked for some advice on the first issue that they were desperate to get into print, which they had done themselves in Word, then passed to an outside design studio, who apart from messing up the English, were finding it impossible to print a lot of the photos. It turned out they had scoured the internet and downloaded all the photos and artwork they were using, many of which were specialist medical shots illustrating particular diseases etc. When I explained that for one thing they were breaking the law, and I would not do that, and secondly that you can't download a tiny jpg off the internet, then print it in a glossy colour magazine and expect high quality, I was virtually thrown out the door by the Australian boss. So they aren't even using RF, no one's getting paid anything for the photos and artwork. Not even me now! I'll keep looking.... All the best, David Buying or selling cameras or digital equipment?
