Dear Bob,

On a lot of lower grade monitors if you don't use actual pixels to look
at the files then you will get anti aliazing, if I'm right, os the
sqaures and grain come up. So has she zoomed into them and has she got
her screen set at 16 bit or above. If the monitor is on 256 colours and
she is dullard, then yes they will look rubbish.

Might I suggest you make an a3 of the file and take it to her and say
this is the same as you have, whats your problem. That should shut her
up, her ineptitude, is not your problem, this could be solved by a
visit, but I doubt anyone with this low level of knowledge will back
down, until you produce that a3 print from the same file.
