Hello Steven, Christian,

I am not sure but I believe that in LAB mode you get RGB and CYMK capabalities to work within an image color space.  It's like having a RGB/CMYK color space to work with.

Steven, firstly what's the logic behind converting to LAB in the first
place?
Secondly downsizing images will not degrade them as long as the
resample check box is not ticked, and you don't plan on increasing
image size later.
