It depends a bit on what sort of photography you do and the way your workflow works.

AFAIK C1 pro will have a Mac update soon which should deal with many more camera types and have many more features.

I am starting to use Image Info Toolkit for adding keywords. I keep all my digital scans in Cumulus and will put everything digital in too, AS SOON AS THEY SORT OUT AN OSX VERSION!!!!! Cumulus will take the keywords automatically so I won't need to do things twice.

If you are new to Mac OSX you may prefer Panther but I have heard that diehards will stay with OSX 10.** for a while.

You will need Toast Titanium for burning disks.

Don't forget the hardware.

One or two spare batteries
A mouse
A case
An in-car battery charger
A cigar-lighter socket on an extension lead
An inverter
A spare car battery for the inverter

Now the questions:
1. What is a good ACDSee like program for the Macintosh? This program is
crucial to
my workflow. I'm experimenting with Extensis Portfolio at the moment, which
seems
like a decent software to use, though ACDSee is still better.
2. Nikon Digital shooting people, what program do you use for the raw
workflow? I
use Bibble in the PC, but the Mac version sucks just the same. I thought
the only other
choice is Nikon Capture or Capture One. But Capture One for Mac only
support
Canon 1d cameras it seems. Does Adobe's Raw allow tethered shooting?
3. Should I wait for the latest version of the OS? (panther??) How soon do
you think
it'll be before Powerbook comes equipped with these?

Other than those questions, is there anything else that you guys can add to
the to-
know list?
