I've at last got a G5 DP (which seems fantastically fast), but switching
from the old to the new machine seems more daunting than switching for a PC
to a Mac (perhaps there should be a new ad campaign?).

My initial conundrum is that the driver for my cheap and cheerful Epson
printer (Stylus Photo 680) has disappeared from every Epson website. I've
tried to install the .pkg file that I (cleverly I thought) archived, and it
claims to contain 0 bytes - so nothing is installed.

It certainly WAS available for OSX, as I've been happily using it for over a
year.

I've tried to transfer every file with Epson or 680 in the file name from my
G4 to identical folders in the G5 in the hope that I can get it working that
way. Is this a possible solution (to track down the location of all the
relevant files on the G4 and transfer them to the G5?). If so, does anyone
know which files need to be found?!

I've e-mailed Epson customer support. I'll let you know what their reply
is.

Secondly, does anyone know of a website/page which details the best way to
transfer things like Photoshop settings, ICC profiles, monitor profiles,
Safari and Explorer bookmarks, etc., between computers?

Any thoughts, as always, gratefully received.

Regards

Richard Lewisohn
